Simon Heller

Simon Heller, CEO

As the CEO of Orion, Simon’s ethos is centred on the Latin phrase ‘Nil Sine Labore’ translated as ‘Nothing without labour’. Simon founded Orion in 1998, originally specialising in commercial and domestic heating and began trading in 1999. Due to client demand and an excellent reputation, Orion expanded its services to include air conditioning, plumbing, electrical and water hygiene. As a result of the expansion, Orion’s name changed from Orion Heating Services to Orion Building Engineering Services in 2012.

Scarlett Cruger

Scarlett Cruger, Director of Operations

Scarlett Cruger joined Orion Building Engineering Services Ltd in 2018. She oversees all business operations, including management of the Orion team and all projects. Scarlett has international experience within the business management industry and works alongside the CEO to ensure the highest level of efficiency is achieved within the Orion organisation.

Graham Jordan – Contract Coordinator

Graham Jordan, Office Manager

Graham Jordan, Orion’s dedicated and accomplished Office Manager, is an integral part of Orion’s team. Having progressed from the role of Contract Coordinator, due to his unwearing commitment, Graham now serves as the pivotal first point of contact for workload, personal, and office-related matters.

Darren Lewis

Darren Lewis, Operations Manager

Darren Lewis is our Operations Manager, with 36 years of industry insight. From his roots in the gas sector to diverse roles in engineering, compliance, and facilities, he brings a unique perspective to contract oversight. A certified gas service and OFTEC engineer, with electrical engineering knowledge, his technical expertise supports our team and clients. For over a decade, he has championed renewable energy and carbon offsetting.

Nicola Dornan

Nicola Dornan, Customer Service Account Manager

Nicola is a motivated individual who operates with integrity. With progression through the company to Customer Service Account Manager, Nicola’s duties include, proactively manage the account of customers, manage any complaints received in line with the company complaint procedure, gas service compliance, reactive maintenance, arranging schedules for the gas service team and the day-to-day assisting of the Office Manager. Prior to joining Orion, Nicola has 22 years’ experience in customer services and sales.

Lucy Walsh, Health & Safety Manager

Lucy Walsh started working with Orion Building Engineering Services Ltd in Oct 2018. A health and safety, quality and environmental professional for over 25 years implementing systems, gaining accreditations, auditing and providing solutions to manage the risks within the business. Having started her career in the construction industry has also spent time in warehouse and distribution, electrical and mechanical engineering, FM and large global organisations. Lucy is responsible for looking after the Health and Safety at Orion working to ensure the business is meeting its legislative demands and requirements, always working towards achieving best practice and aligning with Orion’s mission and long-term success.

Olliver Mcgilloway

Olliver Mcgilloway, Trainee Account Manager

Olliver McGilloway, our Trainee Account Manager, embodies Orion’s commitment to nurturing talent from within. Starting as a Contract Administrator, Olliver’s dedication to his contracts and his eagerness to contribute to our growth have propelled him to his current role.

Niamh BC

Niamh Bayliss-Conway, HR & Business Administrator

Niamh, our HR Administrator, is a recent graduate with a first-class degree in Psychology BSc. She launched her career in HR, leveraging the understanding of human behaviour she gained during her academic journey. Starting as an intern at Orion, Niamh’s passion for creating a comfortable and inclusive workplace for all led her to her current role.

Michelle

Michelle Hardwood, Bid Manager

Michelle has worked at Orion Building Engineering Services for over 5 years and has experience in delivering proposals for over 15 years. Michelle manages the completion of Supplier Questionnaires (SQs) and invitations to tenders (ITTs) which includes the coordination of the quality and pricing, delivering a successful strategy for winning a bid and working with key members of the organisation to obtain information required to compile a compliant and competitive submission.

Will Darling, Purchasing Manager

Will joined Orion Building Engineering services as Purchasing Manager. He is responsible for the effective and efficient requisition of materials. Prior to joining Orion, Will held various roles at a national plumbing merchant. He successfully completed their accelerated development training and quickly became Branch Manager. He has 15years of experience in the plumbing and heating industry.

Bushra

Bushra Durrani, Finance and Office Administrator

Bushra Durrani joined Orion as Finance and Office Administrator has achieved a highly motivated master’s in finance and Corporate Governance and BSc. in Maths and Statistics can provide key analytical support to company managers to enhance the ethos and values of Orion. Prior to Orion, Bushra worked as an operation executive for a logistics company and was responsible for the day-to-day tasks and finance.

Stefano Rospo

Stefano Rospo, Contract Manager

Stefano joined Orion as a Contract Manager. As a result of his driven and innovative approach to work, Stefano has acquired a broad skill set in fault finding, installations, servicing, and commissioning. During his ten years of commercial heating experience, he has worked on a variety of different contracts including schools and sheltered accommodation. Stefano’s skill set and experience is reflected in the standard of his work.

Jon Conrad

Jon Conrad, Water Hygiene Manager

Jon joined Orion as the Manager of the Water Hygiene division. With his 20 years of industry experience, progressing from engineer to a managerial position, Jon’s technical knowledge and commitment to keeping customers safe and compliant is his top priority.

Cheryl Webb, Finance Officer

Cheryl Webb joined Orion Building Engineering Services Ltd as the Finance Officer. Prior to working at Orion, Cheryl was an Accountant in the practice industry. She is a qualified accountant, has achieved her AAT Membership and continues to study towards her chartered qualifications. Cheryl is responsible for the smooth running of the day-to-day finances for Orion.

Alison Thomas

Alison Thomas, Contract Coordinator

Alison Thomas holds impressive four decades of contract administration experience, specialising in scheduling, dispatch, and overseeing installation administration within the engineering industry. Her expertise lies in efficiently scheduling engineers and coordinating dispatch for complex contracts. Alison’s collaborative approach and her willingness to go the extra mile exemplify her dedication to teamwork.

Debbie Mulgrew

Debbie Mulgrew, Contract Administrator

Debbie Mulgrew brings over two decades of dedicated experience in contract administration to Orion. As a highly reliable and proactive team member, she plays a pivotal role in overseeing our contracts with precision and efficiency. Her daily responsibilities include quoting, compliance reporting, liaising with clients and purchasing administration.

Henry Nwagbara

Henry Nwagbara, Data/ Operations Administrator

Henry joined Orion as a Data and Operations Administrator. He brings a blend of academic excellence and hands-on experience to our team. Holding a bachelor’s degree in economics, he’s well-equipped to navigate complex data and operational challenges.
